If you cannot use all of your Annual Bluegreen Points within the earn year, you have several options:
- You can save the Points for an additional year (for a fee).
- You can let them expire
- You can convert them to Choice Rewards Points
Of all of those choices I would recommend paying the fee to save the points, unless it is a miniscule amount. By saving the points you are eligible to use them to:
- Saved Points can be used for reservations in regular Red, White, or Blue seasons the following use year.
- Saved Points can be used for an exchange reservation with RCI® up to 180 days in advance of the check-in date.
- If you didn't let your Traveler Plus membership expire, you have access to last minute getaway specials through the RCI Resort Hot Weeks benefit. Resort Hot Weeks only require 3,000 Points, with Saved Points being eligible.
Here's a handy chart to help you find when you can use Saved Points at Bluegreen resorts!
A Bluegreen Points Chart is shown on each resort details page linked in the table.
To see the start dates for the weeks listed below check out our Bluegreen Vacation Weeks Calendar page (you can download the calendar file from that page for your own use offline). It outlines the week start date for each week based on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday week starts for each year between 2023 and 2046.

Why is the Bluegreen Vacation Weeks Calendar important?
The Vacation Week Calendar, also referred to as the Bluegreen Season Calendar or Bluegreen Points Chart, is necessary to help plan your vacation. You will need to reference it to determine how many Bluegreen Vacation Points (“Points”) your desired reservation will require or when you want to bank Points with an exchange company.
How do I use it?
To plan a vacation at a Bluegreen resort, first decide your anticipated or preferred dates of travel. Next, look at the Vacation Week Calendar to determine the week number for your travel dates. For example, a vacation from July 25-July 29 usually falls during Week 30 of the year*. Next, decide where you want to go and look at the Points Chart for that resort. Week numbers are appointed a season, and Point values are assigned by season, day of the week and size of accommodations. *Please note that Bluegreen’s Vacation Week Calendars are the same as RCI, but different from Interval International.
Let's say you want to go to Bluegreen Wilderness Club at Big Cedar during week 30, and you want to stay in a 2 bedroom cabin.

Booking your vacation through the Bluegreen Vacation Club is simple.
- You can reserve the use of your deeded accommodations (Priority Use Period) between 11 months and 1 day and 13 months prior to the check-in date.
- Doing so uses up the points associated with the use period for that contract.
- You can make a Points reservation in ANY season up to 11 months in advance of your desired check-in date.
- The booking window opens at midnight Eastern Time (online).
- A minimum 2-night stay is required.
- Saved Points may be used for reservations in Red, White or Blue seasons.
The resorts in the table below all require a full week's stay. They are sorted by the day you can check in.
Pono Kai Resort
Saturday and Wednesday are easier check-in days to get.
Tips and Tricks
- Book as close to 11 months out as possible. This will ensure the highest availabilty of units. The longer you wait, the less availability there will be.
- If your desired timeframe isn't avaialble, check back often. Cancellations happen.
- For owners who have fewer points, booking Sunday through Thursday night stays will make your points go farther. If you have charter benefits try booking the weekend nights on either side of your stay with Bonus Time
- If you are a premier member you can try to wait list the stay that you want, though after the changes a year or so ago, the wait list requests no longer get filled prior to the booking window.
- Avoid peak season travel (if possible). This reduces the demand for the available units, and can make your points go farther.
- If your desired timeframe is not available through the Bluegreen Reservations site, check with RCI or Prizzma (Direct Exchange for Traveler Plus Members) to see if the resort (or one nearby) is available through them. Yes, there is a fee for the reservation, but it could get you into the location/time you wanted.
- Gold or Platinum Premier Owners get free week(s) from Bluegreen each year. You can call the premier owner customer service number and instead of staying in the Bluegreen unit during the offseason, have the customer service rep book the unit with the best trading power and deposit it into RCI. This will give you trading power that you can book through the RCI Weeks website and make reservations through it. RCI will also let you combine, or extend deposits (for a fee) so that you can get higher demand units/locations.

After one year you must purchase points from Bluegreen in order to reinstate the membership. For this reason I think it is easier to just pay the fee and renew.
